Al Olson has been performing at Renaissance festivals since 1977 and has produced one in Nashville, Tennessee. He performed as half of Smee and Blogg, the Singing Executioners for the first 12 years of The Arizona show. Following a series of photographic children’s books with his granddaughter as she visited 6 such festivals he has published The History of The American Renaissance Festival in 2021.
